Twyford St Mary's
Church of England Primary School

The Twyford St Mary’s PTA helps to organise and run events that not only raise vital funds for the enrichment of the children’s life at school, but also create opportunities for the wider community to get together and have fun!

From the weekly bake sale to the Summer Fair, the annual Fireworks display to circus fun for all the family, and so much more, the PTA run a packed calendar of family and community events.

Getting Involved

We’d love you to get involved! We rely solely on the efforts of volunteers from the school community and the dedication of school staff giving their time to conceive and deliver these fantastic activities.

Thanks to the continued support of mums, dads, carers, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends of the school, the Twyford St Mary’s PTA has run without a break for many years and continues to raise lots of money for the school year after year.

If you can bake a cake, run a stall, man the BBQ or organise preloved uniform, we would love to have you on board. Being part of the PTA is great fun and makes a huge difference to our small but mighty primary school.

If you’d like to volunteer some of your time, or have fundraising ideas, please contact our committee at

Donations and match funding

Our PTA is a registered charity and has been very fortunate to benefit from match funding schemes – a contribution made by private companies to “match” employees fundraising efforts. You may find your employer offers such a scheme, so if you can spare time to check, it could well be worthwhile for us! Please get in touch if you’d like some more information on this.

Alternatively, if you feel you would like to make a private one-off donation, we would love to work with you to ensure it is spent in the best way. You can ring fence private donations for a specific project and – if you are a UK taxpayer – through gift aid your donation can inflated by 25%.

We have been extremely fortunate to have had some significant donations from school parents and have been able to use this on a wide range of projects including:

  • a new outside classroom,
  • a literacy and library project,
  • iPad provision,
  • smart screens,
  • play equipment, and more.

All donations – whatever their size – make a huge impact to the school, enhancing teaching and learning for the children.

If you would like any further information about match funding or making a private donation, please do contact us by email at  or contact the Headteacher through the school office.
