Uniform

Wearing school colours gives children a sense of identity with the school, which helps to encourage a community spirit. We expect all children to wear the school uniform and thank parents for supporting this. Our school colours are dark green and red and we encourage children to wear it as much as possible. All branded clothing can be purchased from Skoolkit. Good quality second-hand uniform is also available at school. If you are unsure of which size to order, or have any questions about school uniform, the school office will be able to help. Please remember that all items must be marked with your child’s name.

School Uniform List

• Grey trousers, shorts, pinafore dress, skort or skirt
• Red/white, checked dress or playsuit (summer term only)
• Red polo shirt
• Bottle green round neck sweatshirt with school logo affixed OR bottle green cardigan with school logo affixed
• Plain grey socks, White socks or dark coloured tights (grey, black, school red, or school green)
• Smart Black shoes
• Black suitable boots (not fashion boots, and no high heels or platforms) – in winter time only
• Appropriate rucksack (all classes)
• Water bottle

Any undergarments should not be visible outside the uniform (eg: no long sleeve t-shirts under a polo shirt, no leggings under a skirt or shorts).

Shoes/Boots

• All shoes/boots need to be flat and suitable for use on the field or playground
  • Shoes/boots should be black
  • Trainers, Open Toe Sandals, Crocs, flip flops, heelys, high heels and platform soles are not permitted

Jewellery/accessories/hair

On health & safety grounds children are not permitted to wear jewellery in our school, with limited exceptions, namely:

• Stud earrings in pierced ears; these must be removed for P.E and games
• Small objects of religious significance only please; these must be removed for P.E and games
• Long hair must be tied up – Sensible hairclips/hairbands may be worn
• Sensible wrist watches (analogue or digital only). Watches with ‘smart’ features are not permitted
• Nail varnish is not permitted

Sports Wear

All children must change for PE and games; this includes changing tights for socks. The games kit is outlined below and should be kept in a drawstring bag marked with the child’s name:

• Plain coloured t-shirt in the Team colour – Manor=green, Bourne=yellow, Hazeley=red, Finches=blue
• Black shorts or skorts for summer, and black jogging bottoms or leggings in winter
• Black sweatshirt for outdoor PE (a different sweatshirt from ordinary uniform)
• Black plimsolls or suitable black trainers (without flashing lights or fashion effects such as glitter etc.)
• Sports socks or a change of socks
